The stories of our childhood Sunday School classes need to be updated to take in far broader and more complex understandings of the issues addressed. And it needs to be done in a sound and civilized manner . . . just as all the important issues of the day need to be considered. Too often we skirt things we do to understand or find uncomfortable. Lent is a great time to change that.
Open your minds and consider the alternatives and question whether you might occasionally get something wrong! It is a great exercise of the mind and the soul.
