Re: Newsletter for 1st November 2019

Can't say I'm impressed with Norton either. I only have it because when I bought my new lap top the store offered it at 50% discount. Now I know why....lol. Don't think I'll renew it when it runs...

Thought you may like to know Alastair that Norton has ES tagged as not secure.

Re: Farage interview with Donald Trump

What the heck would Donald Trump know about UK politics? He hardly knows about American ones.
  4. Re: Julian Assange: Why the world needs WikiLeaks

Ridiculous! He can't be charged with espionage if he's not a citizen of the country. I wouldn't rely on WikiLeaks for any information. It's my understanding that anyone can edit it.

Re: The Mystery of Mine Howe , Orkney

Agree, it's a ripoff. They tried to introduce it here many years ago and there was practically rioting in the streets. The adverts don't bother me, I just zone out when they are on.

I've seen film of them standing with their backs to the explosion and you can see the mushroom cloud rising.

I notice it only mentioned England & Wales, not Scotland. Different laws? I'm not sure what happens here.

When you and I were young Alastair we ate food which was in season only. Nowadays I often wonder what chemicals they are using to make all food available all year round.

    Re: Newsletter 3rd November 2017

I remember sweet rationing. My Dad would come home on a Friday night with his pay and I'd be waiting at the window watching for him. I'd get 6d and a tiny wee coupon and I'd run down to the local...

For many years now, in Australia, you've had to arrive & check in for an international flight 3 hours before.........more than 10 years if my memory is correct.
