    The only thing about the British pension as an expat is that you don't get the cost of living indexation in most countries and I think Canada is one of them. It stays the same forever....

    Other languages have their strange quirks too. At least in English we don't have to learn the gender of the noun. French has masculine & feminine and German has masculine, feminine and neuter.

    Same in Oz....only guide dogs are allowed on transport, shops & restaurants. You'd be surprised where they are allowed in some other countries. In Germany and USA I have seen dogs in restaurants...

    I love the black pudding you get in Scotland but the one you get in Australia is crappy, lumps of fat in it. The Scottish one is much finer ground or something. Tastes better anyway :smile:
