  • "A Faerie's History of Caledonia"

I would like to introduce my recently completed ebook, "A Faerie's History of Caledonia."
I have always felt a strong connection to things Scottish. After my first trip to Scotland, I identified an especially emotional aspect to that connection. Upon further research, I realized that although there had been many books written about Scottish history in general and about the Clans, Stewardship, and the Jacobites in particular, none of the histories I had read put things together in a way that both felt satisfying and did justice to what I thought was a great story with an ancient soul. So I undertook the project myself, trying to make it concise and entertaining but relatively complete. Still more research led me to the conclusion that the connections in Scottish history required that the telling of my story go all the way back to the beginning. To further unify things and to allow for some "personal" commentary, I chose to tell the story through the eyes of someone who had seen it all: one of the Wee Folk.
I feel and hope that I succeeded. "A Faerie's History of Caledonia" is a short, historically accurate telling of the courage, tragedy, honor, savagery, chivalry, and hope that is the story of Scottish history.
It is available as an e-book here:

You can see the first 30% of the book for free (but be aware that in tone, the book becomes more of a verifiable "history" as it progresses).
Also, it is (or soon will be) available via the e-book formats of Barnes & Noble, Sony, Kobo, Amazon, Apple, and Diesel. The price is only 3 bucks, so I am not going to make significant money on it. I just want to tell this story. I hope you will consider reading at least some of it, and then letting me know what you think.

    Yours Aye,

Jeff, Not yet read more than a few pages, but an interesting story so far.

Oh by the way, 'we' when referring to small, is 'wee'.

    Good luck

Thanks Ranald. If you are referring to my use of "we folk" in the book, I was actually trying to draw a distinction between the selfishness of "me folk" and the more traditional and community minded "we folk." I was also trying to draw a parallel between "wee folk" and "we folk."

        Yes Jeff, I understand now.

Almost like 'uss yins' and 'use yins'.
