I was watching weekend world on the BBC and it was featuring justice in China. In particular it was showing justice in remote communities where the judges ended up having to take long walks to remote villages, fording rivers, etc. It was quite fascinating.

The first case was where an old man was complaining about his adopted son in law and they way he was ill treating him. I noted in the case the Judges said it was the law that senior citizens were shown respect and treated well by younger people. Equally they said that elders should also allow the younger people to get on with their own life as well.

In both cases respect and consideration should be the rule.

I'm not actually aware of rules like that in our Western society. It was very interesting.
