Electric Scotland has a large section devoted to Robert Burns which you can find at http://www.electricscotland.com/burns

We have a text file of all his poetry and songs. Many of his popular ones also have their own pages where more information can be found about the poem.

On the index page you'll also find "Robert Burns Lives!" which is a regular column from Frank Shaw who not only owns one of the few Kilmarnock editions but also has an extensive library of books on Burns. You'll also find a video of Frank giving the "Immortal Memory" at the Robert Burns House in Atlanta, Georgia.

We also have many audio recordings of many of his poems and songs that were recorded by Peter and Marylin Wright from my old home in Scotland and then continued for a number of years afterwards. Peter is one of the few people that can talk all day long in the Scots language. In addition, Peter put on an audio version of a Burns Supper which you can listen to where James Haliday, chairman of the Scots Independent Newspaper, and a very good historian gave the Immortal Memory. This was a presentation put on to help celebrate Tartan Day in America.

You'll also find three complete books by George Scott Wilkie, one of which is "Understanding Robert Burns". This book is for those that have problems understanding the Scots language that many of his poems are written in.

There is much more to explore and we've even added a wee widget where you can personalize the "Selkirk Grace".

We hope you'll make use of this forum to discuss your enjoyment of Robert Burns and to tell us what he meant to you. And do tell us of any special Burns events that you've attended.
