    Re: Compost video

I am a lazy composter. I dig trenches on either side of my garden rows and mix clippings with pulled weeds etc. Every third year the composted rows become the crop rows. I have to water them sometimes in the winter when the temperatures are above freezing for a few days.

That's an interesting approach. It would appear to be somewhat similar to the runrig system used in Skye in past times. And, what's lazy about it? Weeding is an arduous effort!

Weeding is indeed arduous. For every seed I plant a thousand volunteer Russian Thistle and Goosefoot pop up trying to fill in every unvegetated inch. Then there is an illegal immigrant from southern Europe called Tribulus terrestris that has seeds that can lame one's knees if weeding by hand.
