I got in a copy of the Spring Newsletter 2012 for the Steward / Stuart Association of Nova Scotia. I've attached it to this message as a pdf file.

An interesting read, I must admit I enjoyed [and agreed with] the following snippet.........

The Lieutenant Governor The Honourable Mayann E. Francis (pronounced the
Canadian way – Lef’- ten-ant =Lieutenant ) raising the flag and later attending the events
in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall.

It's pleasing to see that the pronunciation from "South of the Border" is not used.
