  • Bringing a 700 year old Scottish Castle back to life

    Hi All,

Robbie and I have been working hard at the Castle to bring it to life. I want to share a few photos.

We have had Halloween Parties, a Christmas Fair and soon to have Christmas Parties. This on-top of the temporary structures our volunteer engineer has been constructing.

I completed my one year's postulation and now a Dame Templar. I am also a Dame for the Order of St Lazarus.

Robbie and I officially moved into Balgonie Castle the 1st of October this year. No one realises the hard work involved in the upkeep of a Scheduled Listed Monument until they live in one.

    Wishing all the very best!

          Kelly,
How wonderful for you to have restored a castle. Is the bride you? If so you are a total copy of my niece.
          Incredible and unbelievable.

Thanks so much for the pictures.

            Hi Donna,

No, sorry it isn't me. She is a lovely bride. I am the big strawberry blonde sitting next to Robbie in the last picture and in my Halloween outfit in the Second picture.
We get to have a monthly Chapel Service at the ancient Chapel the Castle has. This is my favourite event at the Castle.

Stuart and I are going to be married the 20th April 2013. We are praying my parents will get to come. )

You are doing a great job in your writings! Thank you for sharing it with us.
