  • Halley, Deerness, Orkney, Orkney and my paternal DNA

My mother talked my father into doing the Family Tree DNA. It has turned out quite interesting as our DNA matches a few Sinclair and a handful of other Viking named families. It is another Rare DNA group with only a very few in it. Dr Jim Wilson who is spear-heading the Orkney Project accepted my father's DNA without a wince... Now, finding the Halley on the Atlantic Crossing for we do have the family back to 1680's Kent Co VA.

I have just boarded another Genealogy Roller-Coaster ride! Yeeeehaw!
