The photo above is my local golf club, affectionately called "Royal Birkdale" due to it being in the suburb of Birkdale. Today i played 18 holes and played the first nine rather indifferently. The second nine gave me a glimmer of hope my game is improving. I managed to birdie the first (par 3) and a Birdie on a par 4. then a couple of bogies, and the rest i won't bother you all with!

So getting ready for the "real" Birkdale eh.
Courses round here would be ideal for water polo just now and more rain is forecast.

The local Royal Birkdale will have to do me for now...i huvnae got the money to get back to Scotland let alone play a round there.. The local club costs $20 for a round, with all the dry weather at the moment it's a bit rough around the fairways..at least the ball runs a bit..the greens are in good shape though.

Don't tell me you were really surprised!!!!!

BTW went to that restaurant with Betty for lunch. Still a great deal - 2 courses for £6.95 AND she paid...

Well I have had 2 lessons and spent considerable time at the practise range since my last game. I'm ready to tear the course apart, unfortunately it won't be this week as we are in the middle of a very wet spell.

Sandy, a good golfer always replaces their divots...
I may also have understated on the "wet spell" we are having...

Between fires and floods, you are having a rough time down there.

Not a lot one can do about the climate change, that would change things quickly.

I really should stop moaning about our weather but it is in the genes.

We had hail and thunder this morning followed by some showers so not too bad really.
