  • Ponka Indians

Hey Donna... I was researching the Sioux Nation for my Electric Canadian site and came across a book with some information on the Ponka Indians. I've posted it on the site at http://www.electriccanadian.com/hist...ioux/ponka.htm

    Alastair,
Hmmmmmm. Barbarous language? My grandmother's name Mkia Thing gay, Bright Moon, literally Mekia (Stars) Thing gay
(there are none). I ask you is this barbarous? :)

Thanks though, I enjoyed reading about the battles they had with the Sioux. Not too long ago a Sioux man and a Ponca man were on a stage together to speak. The Ponca man said, "Not to long ago, one of us would have not left this stage alive. These are new times, and they are better."
