    CAN YOU REMEMBER?

    1. Candy cigarettes?

    2. Wax coke-shaped bottles with colored sugar water inside?

    3. Soda pop machines that dispensed glass bottles?

    4. Coffee shops with tableside juke boxes?

    5. Blackjack chewing gum?

    6. Home milk delivery in glass bottles, with cardboard stoppers?

    7. Party lines?

    8. Newsreels before the movie?

    9. P. F. Flyers?

    10. Butch wax?

    11. Telephone numbers with a word prefix ? (Drexel-5505)

    12. Peashooters?

    13. Howdy Doody?

    14. 78 RPM Records?

    15. S&H Green Stamps?

    16. Hi-fi's?

    17. Metal ice cube trays, with levers?

    18. Mimeograph paper?

    19. Blue flash bulbs?

    20. Beanie and Cecil?

    21. Roller skate keys?

    22. Cork popguns?

    23. Driveins?

    24. Studebakers?

    25. Wash tub wringers?

Now add up your score If you remembered 0 to 5, you're still young If you remembered 6 to 15, you are getting older. If you remembered 16 to 25, you are older than dirt.

Being that I am actually "IN" this category myself, I decided to share this! Good luck! Joan :redrose::shamrock:

Hi Joan, I have 15 but some of the others are American and not found or known here.

I think 'Dirt' might be one of my grand children

I found 13, I think the others belong to a non English speaking country.

Hey...I got about 20, myself. I think the P. F. Flyers was a miss-type!! It might be a Radio Flyer (which is a wagon for kids.) I agree most are American. However I left the States at 17 to go to live in England, & still got a few. It'd be neat for one of our UK partners to do a list of stuff over there, so I could see also what I might know!?! Thanks for replies, guys...Joan

Re: There Will Be A Test (for seniors)

I got 14 but ignored stuff from my North American experiences because I do not think they count...
And I suppose I should really only count 13.5 because I do remember milk in glass bottles but not with cork stoppers~~~

Re: There Will Be A Test (for seniors)

I got 23 so dirt and I are close. P. F. Flyers are sneakers, or, as we used to call them, running shoes. I think all are from the USA.

              Cheers,

              Hugh
