  • Hyperbolic Machine for Brain Damage

    http://www.theonion.com/articles/ama...nvention,1321/

A number of years ago I read about this machine used for treatment of cerebral palsy. Some how or another we never followed through. Now that my husband is facing this part of his life when he is quickly being faced with an ultimate disability for which there are no answers, I'm told.

The last few days I've been creating outside jobs for him requiring he get to fresh air. This evening our grandson said, "You know Grampa seems better, don't you think?"

Of course I'm afraid to think anymore and have just been picking up the pieces behind his obsession to try to "fix" things and a costly endeavor this has been too. Other than having to take cold showers, do without the washing machine until I could get the repairman out, pouring water to flush the toilet, on and on all is looking better this evening when he actually "fixed" a heater. So maybe he is better.

Spring is close and we have had woderful warm weather, so the Native American in me has no trouble at all doing outdoor projects. The high cost of groceries makes me look to gardening.

Thank heaven for my wonderful tribe who sent a plumber out and he "fixed" everthing in a few moments. The greatest help though is from a friend who all but rebuilt the plumbing where someone (?) has tinkered with that until water was running on the floor in the kitchen.

There's always a happy outlook if we try to find it. I haven't had time to watch the news and only occasionally hear a bit about Iran or something. This is a blessing, thank you very much.

Meanwhile I'll keep myself in an upbeat frame of mind by reading about these hyperbolic machines.
The Osages will be using art in the nine casinos and I'm pointing my head in that direction. A visit to the museum brought a wonderful time where their new assistant curator, Lou Brock, was a joy to meet. For sure we will attend their gala, 76 year celebration, May 3 and 4th. There will be a ballet presentation on stage, symposiiums and great food at the noon meals. I can't wait.
