  • House in Callander destroyed by possible gas explosion

I will let you read the story, but advise the two pensioners who were in the house, the man is stable in hospital, and this wife now released from hospital. (they were taken to two different hospitals)

I know the area reasonably well and my heart goes out, not only to the two pensioners, but all the other people in the area.

It makes one wonder about our own gas systems, or even that of our
    neighbours ?

You'd think they would have smelled the gas. I know that natural gas has no odour but something gets added to it apparently so that you can smell it. I have natural gas cooking, heating & hot water, but here your gas hot water tank has to be placed outside.
