Have you ever seen anyone who looks more Scottish than Jim Sillars? :laugh2: I mean it in the nicest way, he has the face & heid o' a tumshie :D
The men in my life have always told me that I always have an answer for everything. It's just dawned on me, listening to this man, that it's a very Scottish trait :D
He's a very good speaker and holds your attention.

Did not listen to this, but based on his political history he is far too left-wing for me anyway. I do believe though that if we are daft enough to vote for Independence that the Scottish Labour Party will win the 2016 general election - and that is also too full of left wing 'nuts' for my liking.

I didn't think he said anything particularly left wing but I don't know the man. This is the first I've heard his name. I've been gone too long to know what's happening in Scotland today. Scotland has always been Labour but if the vote for independence is successful I think a lot of the blame must go to the incumbent Conservative government according to what I've been reading.

He is a left wing socialist activist. He was senior member of the SNP but lost out in the bid to win the leadership. He is married to Margo MacDonald, I think you have probably heard of her... The SNP is an amalgam of many 'lefties' and other minorities. Scotland did not always vote Labour, the Unionists & Conservatives were in the majority for quite a while back in the 50's. Guess I have a long memory (some call it anal retention~~~).

A lot of different leaning people are in the SNP right now which is why I think the SNP might not win the next election.
