          Sorry but those are not the signs suggested by the clue, but keep at it you will get it eventually.

            Hmm. Where I come from, elevators hold grain, so the signs were things like "Saskatchewan Wheat Pool" or "United Grain Growers", with the names of little towns on the front. Most of those are gone now, and so are most of the little towns. But if it's a "lift", all I can think of is "Up", "Down" and "Freight", none of which seem to fit.Click image for larger version

              Sounds like a prairie lad talking. The sign I'm referring to is the one when the elevator (not a grain one) is not working. The elevator is.................
