John, a great contribution. By my calculation #3 is still up for discussion even though the answer is close, it's not close enough.

    Cheers,

    Hugh

OK Hugh, for #3 I'll try "rock climbing" instead - #1 is still driving me nuts!

Yes John rock climbing it is and Ranald you are very close with that answer and a possible alternate answer if the bottom line was 4 UMs. Which forum is it?

          Cheers,

          Hugh

Hi Hugh, first.... good for John. I thought it might be a football/hockey team name, but do not know any of the teams.

I will find out when you put up the answers lol

It's not a team Ranald and you are very familiar with it.

              Cheers,

              Hugh

Ranald you are right, mums is incorrect.

Should I say 'Mums the word', an old war time expression ?

Thank you for the help Hugh.

Sorry Ranald, but think what is familiar about EM.

                      Cheers,

                        Re: Enigma Machine #63

Hi Hugh - could it be "three cheers for Eminem"? (not that I'm a fan.) An em is a measurement used in printing, but I can't think of any way to tie this in. If E stood for Elizabeth and M for Majesty it could be "Three cheers for the Queen", although this would make more sense if it was ER. (This is far-fetched, but I'm clutching at straws now.) Ta-ta, John.

Good try John, but that is not it. You will all be surprised and embarrassed when you find out.

                          Cheers,

Frankly, Hugh...I personally am ready to see the answers. It's been almost too long, & those of us who work this, have already guessed!:unimpressed:

                            Thanks, Joan

I'm going in for surgery on Monday and was trying to drag this out until the weekend. Last weekend my wife & I went to Stratford for our anniversary so I was not able to follow our regular routine.

                              Cheers,

                              Hugh
