    Re: Enigma Machine #65

Hey to all! I have a few answers. #2 is "red herring", #9 is "mopping up", #10 is "Blue Monday". Still considering others.

    Thanks, Joan

Good morning all, and glad to see you've only got two knees to worry about Hugh! I'll chip in #1 - Stitch in Time, #3 - Down in the Dumps, # 7 - Needle in a Haystack, and #8 - Missing a Beat.

          Re: Enigma Machine #65

Hi Hugh and all - great start by Joan and Rick, I had thought that #8 was "four beats to the bar" and 10 was "Monday blues", ah well, you can't win 'em all. I think #5 might be "toeing the line" and #6 "calendar girl".
The answer to #2 might be giving us a clue that the colour in #11 and #12 could be a blind, so for these I'll try #11 "time after time" and for #12 "The High and the Mighty". (film title.) Still haven't come up with anything for #4 - sometimes the smaller the trickier!
          Cheers all, TTFN. John.

Another brilliant contribution John. #4 is the only one left. What could 2 'n's be?

            Cheers,

            Hugh

                Re: Enigma Machine #65

Hi Joan, I had thought of that, but there is no reference to the 'w', so discarded that.

I think you may well get yet another 'well done'...

Hi Ranald - just had a thought that Joan could be right if the "w" is part of the word "two" (tw(o) n's), sounds plausible to me but then the italics could mean something as well. Cheers, J.

                    Cheers,

                    Hugh
