  • Enigma Machine #94

Welcome to 2015 and another round of puzzles. Why should these be any easier?

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

Wow Joan - that was some message, not many questions left.
          Can I try #4 "Rub down" ?

          John....... hurry.....

Out of all of those from Joan & Ranald only #1 is the answer from Doug. Some of these others are close and possibly alternates.

            Cheers,

            Hugh

Here's another try....#2 is "iceberg rising", #7 is "stretching the truth". That's all I have at present.

                Re: Enigma Machine #94

Hi again to all - the rotors of the Enigma machine are in motion once again, so here are some attempts at de-encryption: #2: "The tip of the iceberg", #4: "Rub up the wrong way", #8: "Side-splitting laughter", #9: "Looking out for number one" and #11: "Point blank range". (I agree with Joan on #7.)

                - Cheers all, John.

Good shots by Joan & John (got 100% on his contribution) That leaves #3 & #5.

                  Cheers,

                  Hugh

                    Re: Enigma Machine #94

Hi Hugh, nearly there but doubt it is the answer - #3"To know first is correct" ?

As for #5, another devious one from Doug, but John has got them before.

Actually #5 is part of an Abbot & Costello routine but #3 is still waiting, it is very tricky.

                      Cheers,

                      Hugh

                        Re: Enigma Machine #94

HI, again...John pretty well cleaned the slate!!! I THINK that #3 is "two no's don't make a right". I hadn't seen Hugh's clue....(isn't that poetic?) So, now, #5 is "Who's on first?" As I do remember Abbott & Costello!

                        Just came to me....Joan.

Hugh, perhaps the answer to #3 may have been "Right under (our) nose" all the time?
                          Cheers, John.

Right under our noses John, it was there all the time. What do you have for #5, it's the last one?

                            Cheers,

                            Hugh
