Sorry Ranald it's not one of those. I have revised the graphic which I am waiting for Alastair to post. I think it will clarify things for #3.

    Cheers,

    Hugh

The new graphic for #3 has been posted and is a better representation. No change on #1 though. Maybe Joan could help with that one.

      Cheers,

      Hugh

Hi Hugh, it now looks like #3 "Potent", but perhaps I'm wrong again.

Perhaps #9 is "Two eggs over easy", Hugh, and maybe #3 could be "Point"?

Hi Hugh and John, what on earth does the expression"Two eggs over easy" mean ???

I still cannot associate the 'figure' in #1, which is a must for the answer.

Ranald, it is the order in a restaurant for 2 fried eggs not sunny side up and the yolks are not hard cooked. Get Joan to help with the picture.

                    Cheers,

                    Hugh

                      Re: Enigma Machine 108

Ranald... I had the same problem with over easy when I first came to America. I found you cooked the fried eggs and then flipped them over in the frying pan to cook the top a little but still keeping the eggs runny and then serve. In Scotland we used to just spoon oil over the yolk to get them the same way.

I also has a problem with biscuits. Like when ordering breakfast I'd be asked if I wanted biscuits with that and I'd just say no thanks thinking why would anyone want a sweet chocolate or other biscuit with their breakfast. I eventually found out their biscuits were our scones.

HI, Guys...As you know, today is our 4th of July, which is supposed to be a holiday. I've been out in the warmth cutting grass. Also worked a bit on genealogy today again!!! I don't know, but I have #1 as "nurse", #4 as "Be Honest", #5 as "financial", #6 as "searching high, searching low", #7 as "seven seas", #9 as "two eggs over easy", & #3 as "teapot", #11 is "he's in 7th heaven" . That's all for now. Basically, I am working so hard, I almost forget to eat!! Cheers,

                        Joan

See I told you Joan could help, she got #1 and was right on a bunch of others (except #3 & 4). That completes EM 108.

                          Cheers,

                          Hugh

Hey, Ranald....You never know just what a purse, or hand bag will look like!!! That was a kind of "old" looking style of handbag. You're so young, and you're a fella, so you didn't recognize that~~~ Glad to get on here once more...at least for a bit. Joan
