Ohhh, thank you. Now you have me salivating at the thought of the Irish pork sausages, haggis and black pudding. I long for those sausages as I can't get anything like them here in Australia. The same goes for the haggis and black pudding, as the ones I have found here are not anywhere near the quality found in Scotland. The good news is that I am heading "home" in March for a 3 week holiday and will be sure to get my fill of all the above. The first thing I always do when we go back is buy a few packs of the Richmond Irish sausages and boy do I enjoy them! I also miss the Ox tongue and try to get that too when we go but its not always that easy finding a decent batch in Edinburgh. I have found one shop near Brisbane that sells great Scottish pies (mince, steak and scotch) and other Scottish food stuffs so when I fly down there for a holiday I always stock up (whilst my husband groans at the depletion of the bank account haha), freeze them and try to find room in my suitcase to take them back to Darwin. My family think I'm nuts but we do so enjoy them. Trying to make them last is hard though......
