  • Thoughts on a Sunday morning - 8th November 2020

Remembrance Day is upon us . . . without the parades and the poppy sellers and the crowds gathered around the cenotaph for the silence at 11:00 a.m.. So what do we remember and what do we need to do?But until the 11th of November, remember, it is Sunday and there is a service out there just waiting for your presence.

    Until next time, God bless!

Dame Dai & Sir Matthew Gaasenbeek Prior II – St James Priory

As we approach Remembrance Day we remember a great man, H.E. Sir Matthew Gaasenbeek, who shared his stories of World War II which he experienced as a youth in occupied Holland and was the Honorary Lieutenant Colonel of the Grey & Simcoe Foresters Regiment. Matthew was a successful business man but it was as a volunteer that he served his adopted country and so many other lands and peoples throughout the world. For us, he was Prior II of St James Priory – OSMTH, a member of the Board of St Monica’s Anglican Church and my mentor. He will be missed!

    Read his book at: http://www.electriccanadian.com/makers/gaasenbeek.htm

Plant a tree in his memory . . . he planted 50,000 himself!

Have a splendid week: say a prayer, be blessed by God and be a blessing for your neighbours.

    Blessings
    nnDnn
