Benny Hill in New York

My memories of Benny Hill were when working as nurse on nights at an alcohol & drug rehab/detox unit, at a hospital near here. The patients/guys would sit up latish at night, watching Benny Hill almost every night. I was reluctant to hang around with them, because I was working, and some of Benny's stuff was slightly off-color. Didn't want the fellows to think I was being too forward, as had enough difficulties in some asking for dates already. (and that was a no-no rule). Of course, this was back in the late '80's. Joan
I never much liked Benny Hill. But to each their own.

We have a retro TV station here and they run Bennie Hill one night a week, usually four hours worth. He may have been the most irreverant joker on the air. I didnt like everything he did but most of it was harmless and a lot of fun
Never pick a fight with an old Highlander. If he can't fight, he will just kill you.
