  • South Uist whales 'now safe' at sea

Rather unusual sighting, but a probable reason given, and the pod now back in the oceans.

Ranald, you probably will not see this, but I was attracted to this article by the South Uist referral. I "think" I still have a book which I got from an overseas seller. It is called "A Schoolmaster in South Uist". I have read it, & enjoyed the stories about the schoolmaster teaching, & his difficulties, etc. I just thought this was a tremendous coincidence. I do remember his fishing for a large brown trout from a loch. (I do sell some books of mine here & there, and can't put my hands on it at present time, so who knows IF I already sold it!!!) Sometimes it's quite interesting to experience these things...growing older!!! You have to see it as a comedy, or else go totally "batty". Joan
