  • Thoughts on a Sunday morning - 27th June 2021

    Good morning . . .

As we agonize over mistakes of our past – things that did not turn out the way the dreamers hoped or anticipated – we ponder how to honour our country and Sir John A. - the man whose drive and vision created this country while acknowledging and regretting his failings and the consequences that he did not foresee.

And yet, I do not regret not being the 51st state of American. I am grateful for those who gathered in Charlottetown and set Canada on its course of being and who travelled to England and convinced Queen Victoria that Canada would be a worthy gem in her Imperial Crown.

    My thoughts, this day . . .

Blessings on all and Happy Canada Day, warts and all!
