You must be one of the last Clydeside reds to be in existence.
I suppose there is a place for all the conspiracy theorists.
Would Ian Gartshore be in your 'circle'?
I knew him years ago when we worked together.
Sandy
Thats not a name Im familiar with, but I will ask about.
How far back are we talking here ?
Very early 70's.
He came from Dumbarton, went to Africa and then I heard he came back before 1980.
He was very politically active as was his wife. He even gave his son "Trotsky" as a middle name...
...Well thats a little bit before my time but I will ask some of the older members.
Do you know if he was in the SRSC (Scottish Republican Socialist Clubs) or (Workers' Party of Scotland) ?
Sorry I do not know if he was in either of those organisations.
At some points many of his beliefs were so left that they were almost rightwing~~~
At this moment in time anyone that I have spoke don't know this person, but there could be a few reasons for this.
Our position is Scotland should be an independent nation, but there are those within Scotland who may be on the left, but still wish for us to be controlled by London "Brit's". It's all part of the political landscape here in Scotland.
