  • Unveiling of the Scottish Immigrants Memorial - October 8, 2011

The unveiling of the Scottish Immigrants Memorial at Penns Landing, Philadelphia on Saturday, October 8, 2011. The statue was sponsored by the St. Andrew's Society of Philadelphia.

Immediately following the unveiling, the video continues with remarks by renowned designer and sculptor Anthony Terrence Jones. Master of Ceremonies for the event was Society president, Rev. Dr. J. Barrie Shepherd.

The St. Andrew's Society is currently accepting applications for commemorative walkway stones in the form of bricks (for personal tributes) as well as granite stone pavers for Clans and Societies.

The Clan Currie Society salutes the St. Andrew's Society of Philadelphia for this remarkable achievement and plans to support this initiative with a commemorative granite paver.

    Visit www.standrewssociety.org for additional information.

My thanks to Bob Currie of the Clan Currie Society for alerting me to this video.
