Re: Trying the Gedcom Files here, just a few more of our lines

I have been working from one of my books called,THE FORGOTTEN MONARCHY OF SCOTLAND.

According to this book about HRH Prince Michael of Albany, who is the Knight Grand Commander The Chivalric Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem as well as many other Orders, there were other lines of Royal Stewarts.

I had set this book aside when Lawrence Gardner was basically proven wrong in the Holy Blood Holy Grail book but his work for HRH Prince Michael verifies what I have been told by Catholic Priests. All Records pertaining to the Royal House of Stewart were removed because of the Hanoverian government.

I want to know why other Royal Stewarts are basically shunned when they write of correspond with the Order of Jerusalem. It makes me wonder if HRH is afraid the rest of the story will come out.

        Kelly

The ' ?.ged' file MUST be imported into a Family Tree program, which uses that format.

In another forum, you listed the 'text' version, but at the end of the message you had d/l the file.

I saved that file, then imported it into my own Family Tree Maker, and the file opened correctly.

I hope this helps, and that Alastair can also see, that the file will NOT be opened on the Community site.

The file ( fletcht2001.ged ) is in your first message above, I had forgotten where I saw it :-(

Most Family Tree programs can use the ' .ged ' file format.

Therefore anyone with a Family Tree program, all they have to do is first save the file, then import it into their program.

Usually when a Family Tree program is running, from the top menu bar, it is just select 'file' then 'import'.

Re: Trying the Gedcom Files here, just a few more of our lines

I would add to the previous message, that anyone with a Family Tree program, should look in the HELP section, about what is exported.

For instance the NAMEs of People presently living are replaced by the word LIVING.

It is a very powerful program and cannot be altered by the user, so READ THE HELP FILE.
