    Dog aids wheelchair user

A young Devon woman is thought to be the first person in the UK to have a specially trained guide dog, which helps people who use wheelchairs.

Here is the link to the BBC video:

While the Guide Dog for the blind has always impressed me. However I wonder about this new development.

With the amount of traffic on our roads, and inconsiderate motorists, can the Guide Dog take this into consideration?

I rather think that when alongside a motorised wheelchair, the guide dog would receive even less consideration.

On our pavements, I have seen complete lack of consideration by a pedestrian, to an approaching blind person with a guide dog.

How much less would they receive, when on a wheelchair?

Yes, I know that normal sighted persons on a motorised wheelchair can be a complete menace, especially in large stores and shopping precincts.

Oh dear, here is grumpy on one of his many horse !!
