  • Enigma Machine #42

Here is the next puzzle. I hope we get more participation since the more help makes it easier. Another point of view sometimes gives others an idea that might not happen otherwise. Newbies can get a bigger version of the puzzle by clicking on the small version. Oops, we don't get a smaller version.

    Cheers,

    Hugh

    Re: Enigma Machine #42

HI, Hugh....Just got this, & would like to post some answers: #3 is "the jig is up!", #10 is "over-cooked meat/s" , & #12 is "happy birthday cupcake". Will continue looking at the Enigma, & see what else can come up with.

    Thanks,

    Joan

Ranald you have Doug's Alternate answer for #6 and I think you have a good stab at the answer for #7 and the answer for #1 Joan has already got.

                Cheers,

                Hugh

Yes Ranald, sit back and wait is right, almost like hurry up and wait but more comfortable. Have you ever heard the expression "Don't take any wooden nickels". That's where it came from. I don't know if the origin was in Gananoque Ontario where they used to issue wooden nickels as souvenirs.

                    Cheers,

                    Hugh

Hello, All! Ranald slipped in with #7, just after I figured it out! OK....#8 is "clover-leaf". Still working on the "meats one".

                      Thanks, Joan

                          Hey, again....On the #10, "meats under-cooked".

That's all I have! My brain is sizzling! Joan

Right you are Joan, but it sounds like your brain is overcooked. That leaves #2, #4, #5, #9 & #11.

                            Cheers,
