The question of Scottish independence has turned into a huge constitutional row today, with defence one of the key issues still to be addressed.
Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, claims he can hold a vote on independence in 2014, but the UK Coalition insists it has to authorise a legally-binding ballot.
